DS 3: DS MATRIX LED VISION / Malfunction
DS 3 2016-2026 Owners Manual
If a malfunction occurs with the
adaptive
headlamp lighting or the camera, this warning lamp is displayed on the
instrument
panel, accompanied by an audible signal and a
message.
Have it checked by a dealer or a qualified
workshop.
Do not cover the rain/sunshine
sensor
located at the top centre of the
windscreen behind the interior rear view
mirror; the associated functions would no
longer be controlled.
The
system may be disrupted or not work
correctly:
- Under conditions of poor visibility (e.g.
falling snow, heavy rain).
- if the windscreen is dirty, misted or obscured
(e.g. by a sticker) in front of the camera.
- If the vehicle is facing certain signs or
reflective safety barrier systems.
It is recommended that you deactivate the
function in foggy or snowy conditions or in
case of heavy mist.
The function temporarily is deactivated when
the system detects thick fog or when the
foglamps are switched on manually. This is
signalled by the indicator lamp going off on the
instrument panel.
The system is not able to detect:
- Road users that do not have their own
lighting, such as pedestrians.
- Vehicles whose lighting is obscured (e.g.
vehicles driving behind a safety barrier on a
motorway).
- Vehicles at the top or bottom of a steep
slope, on winding roads, on crossroads.
Clean the windscreen
regularly,
particularly the area in front of the
camera.
Do not allow snow to accumulate on the
bonnet or roof of the vehicle as this could
obstruct the camera.
Travelling abroad
Vehicles equipped with the DS MATRIX
LED VISION function:
If planning to use your vehicle in a country that
drives on the other side of the road, deactivate
the function to avoid dazzling oncoming
drivers.
Operation
Using a camera, the system detects the driving
conditions (brightess, lights from oncoming or
followed vehicles, road turns) and adapts the
beams of the main headlamps accordingly...
Before operating the wipers in wintry
conditions, clear any snow, ice or frost
from the windscreen and around the wiper
arms and blades.
Do not operate the wipers
on a dry
windscreen...
Other information:
Preparing for the manoeuvre
Move very slowly until the request to stop
the vehicle and the "STOP" sign are displayed,
accompanied by an audible signal.
Once the vehicle has stopped, an instructions
page is displayed on the screen.
To prepare for the manoeuvre, you must fulfil
all of these instructions...
For more information,
refer to the General
recommendations on the use of driving
and manoeuvring aids.
The system corrects the vehicle's trajectory by
alerting the driver as soon as it detects a risk of
involuntary lane departure or crossing of a verge
or hard shoulder (depending on version)...
